Sprue Cutters give you more stability and strength on every cut, and they handle thicker sprues and tougher plastics with confidence. Precision Nippers are designed to cut as close and as clean as possible to the part you want off the sprue.
Many painters work with a single tool: cut the part from the sprue, then clean up what is left with a knife or similar.

I have owned the precision nippers for ~1.5 years now and have absolutely loved them! I did have an issue where my first pair broke within the warranty period. Sharpest so far for the money. Easy to use and feels good. Not too big so you can work securely to fit it close to the miniature and work it in most sprues without too much difficulty.
Can be a tad fragile, so don't cut at maximum width at the very tip of the cutters.
