RGG360° Painting Handle
XL CAPS Welcoming the giants
PINNING CORK Focus on the details
With its fully 360° revolving function , you can rotate your plastic or resin WIPs in a completely controlled manner. And all with just a gentle flick of your thumb or finger as you paint! But when you stop, it stops. The precision axle mechanism ensures a smooth spinning action that’s tight enough that it doesn’t turn involuntarily.
It is ultra-responsive to you and your needs, and helps minimise unnecessary hand movements whilst accessing any and all awkward areas for painting.
You can comfortably paint for hours without risk of wrist strain or hand fatigue with the sculpted grip of the RGG 360°. Crucially, too, it means you can minimise the amount of physical contact your hands have with the model, which will help prevent chipping and paint rubbing! Additionally, the handle is lightweight and well-balanced, ensuring a comfortable feel.
BORN ON KICKSTARTER
RGG360° Ergonomic painting handle for miniature painting was created in 2019, during one of the most successful Kickstarter campaign for miniature painting.
After several years of existence, RGG360° became the most recommended painting handle for miniature painting.

I didn’t even use mine more than a dozen times before the plastic handle separated. I glued it back together again. I won’t be ordering another one.

Simply the best painting handle out there – lies so good in your hand, I can paint for hours at a time without fatigue!

I’ve never had a handle before, I always just used a cork because that’s free and these are just a waste of money, right? Wrong! In fact very, very wrong. I completely underestimated how much the handle would help my painting. Now I’m not suggesting using this has taken me to competitive level (that would be ridiculous) but it has made painting easier. Being able to rotate the model just by using my thumb sound like a small change to make to your modelling workflow but in actual fact it’s massive. The handle itself is super sturdy and the magnetic dock is a great idea. I also love the fact you can buy more caps so that you can have more models on the go, or you can use a separate cap for each sub assembley. I’m surprised by just how much difference this simple handle has made but it really, really has.

I’ve been using the Redgrass RGG360 V2 for quite some time now, and it’s quickly become my go-to painting handle. The ergonomic shape fits naturally in my hand, making it super comfortable even during longer sessions. The standout feature for me is the 360° rotatable cap – it allows me to turn the miniature smoothly with just my thumb, which really helps with maintaining a steady painting position without constantly readjusting my grip.

These are the best painting handles I ever bought. I started with a single one but since I usually work on several projects at a time I soon bought several more with all the options available. The handles are so easy to operate by turning the figure base around I now wonder how ever I painted in the past when I did not have the RGG handles. The magnet in the base is a must to keep your work safely on your desktop and avoiding inadvertly knocking your work over and causing harm to the figure you are working on. I even used that magnet once to paint a very large figure that did not suit well on the top of the handle. I glued a metal base on my figure, turned the handle upside down and put the figure on the bottom magnet. It worked as a charm. I used the XL top to stow the handle on my desktop pushing it into putty I had on my desktop. Sometimes you have to think out of the box!

Best handle there is on the market. Period. One thumb roll-your-model-around. I’m so used to it I’m uncomfortable when not using it. The ergonomiacs were really thought out. The putty is top quality too, it doesn’t dry out easily. The magnetic felt like a gimmick but when I place it after a session I know it won’t budge so that’s peace of mind right there.

I’ve made and bought several handles and this one is the best. Smooth turning and the perfect amount of friction.
Anthony C. (verified owner) –
I used a number of other handles, I’d find the models would pop off or not sit stable. With this one I find the model never pops off, also the magnetic base is a great idea for standing the model while doing detail work. Another awesome product from redgrass

A really good grip with a comfortable weight and just the right amount of rotational resistance. It’s a little too small for me with the regular caps, but that’s an easy problem to solve.
The removable caps make the grip great, as you can use a wide variety of sizes and holding systems with simple modifications.

Great product… stable, sits nicely in hand and makes painting detail much more precise and accurate
Will (verified owner) –
This handle is an amazing product. The weight and shape feel excellent in my hand and the rotating head makes it so much easier to position pieces and paint comfortably at any angle. The magnets are also a great idea as they can help add stability. I highly recommend this handle for anyone who is solely using corks or shot glasses like I used to.
Anthony I. (verified owner) –
Loved this handle since the original release of v1, and the improvements have been stellar. It’s comfortable and being able to swap projects and have different size bases is really convenient!
Alexandra S. (verified owner) –
I think the handle is great.
At first, I had trouble holding the figures properly, and if they were a bit larger, they would fall off. It takes a bit of practice.
Andre S. (verified owner) –
Easy to use tool – I have huge hands and it’s still comfortable.

Smart changes compared to their first painting handle.
-Magnetic base to securely set it aside (almost a bit too strong with their plates, can be placed anywhere).
-Swappable heads. This is amazing to quickly swap between a handful of minis.
-new color blue instead of grey (ok), and putty is grey instead of orange (preferred orange, luckily had some leftover)
My only gripe with them is that the turning isn’t as smooth as it was on their V1 handle (without swappable heads). It’s good, but the V1 is a bit easier to turn and feels perfect to me. Would be great if a V3 is a bit closer again to the V1 turning feeling.

To put it short: there’s no way I could move back from this handle. Ergonomic, hours and hours of painting won’t tire my hand. The rotating cap is extremely good and has just the right friction: easy to spin it with one hand/finger, but it never spins without intent. I recommend to buy extra caps, makes batch painting quick and enjoyable. I also like the magnetic sticker that’s attached to my portable painting station, it keeps the handle always in place when holding a miniature. I found no negatives at all in the handle or accessories.

I purchased this grip based on the recommendations of other artists, having no experience with miniatures. It’s definitely an expense I wouldn’t have made if I hadn’t read the reviews both here and online on the channels I follow, but I immediately appreciated its qualities as soon as I started painting. The grip is very comfortable even for me, even though I’m left-handed. I have perfect control of the miniature and can easily rotate it with my thumb. The magnetic base is brilliant.

This is by far the best handle to paint minis, period. I have been using citadel one and after long painting sessions my fingers hurt because i tend to grab the handle in bad ways. With this, zero pain, and I can batch paint 10+ minis with just one handle and some extra caps. A cheaper option, and more ergonomic!.
Andreas K. (verified owner) –
Perfect handle for me. I love the changeable tops! Best for army painting!
John L. (verified owner) –
This is the best painting handle I’ve ever used. Following a few accidents to my hands they tend to ache after a short painting session. My hands cramp up trying to hold a mini by its base. However, with the RGG360 Painting Handle I find that the ergonomics of the design mean that my hands cramp less, even after long painting sessions.
Would I recommend this painting handle? YES, in a heartbeat.
Benoît G. (verified owner) –
Great handle, no default, very practical and easy to use.
However I find the grey putty less efficient than the orange one.
Jason L. (verified owner) –
Great product. Rotation is easy to use and swapping out caps makes for easy prep and/or moving between figs while drying or doing multiples with same colors. It’s a bit pricey for the materials used and the reason I knocked it a star. If it came with extra putty or 3+ of the magnet bases, would make it a bit more of a deal. You can make this on your own, but it is convenient.
Marc C. (verified owner) –
I’ve been really impressed with this handle. It’s very comfortable to use, even for long sessions. I liked it so much I got a second one to keep up with two projects at once, and now they’re my go-to tools. If I had one suggestion, it would be to add just a bit more weight — that could improve the balance and feel even further. Overall, a great product.
Jacob H. (verified owner) –
I absolutely love this handle. It is much more ergonomic than other handles I have used. I bought it with the swappable caps and I love that I can easily swap between different projects. It is a great system.
Jon F. (verified owner) –
I have a few handles but this is the one I seem to end up using all of the time as it just works really well, its comfortable and the magnetic base is really handy, love it
Wiebe S. (verified owner) –
Easy to use. The magnet in the bottom is a big plus, so you don’t accidentally knock it over. The turning could be a bit smoother.
Gabriele L. (verified owner) –
Excellent product, extremely easy to handle! I can’t go back!
(Ottimo prodotto estremamente manegevole! Non posso piu’ tornare indietro!)
Ashe R. (verified owner) –
The BEST painting handle, but I’m biased. I’ve used this for years, after graduating from bottles and dowel rods w/ blue-tac on top. So good that a couple years ago I bought extra heads so I could work on more than one mini at a time w/o having to “dismount”. Well, this time I decided I needed an additional handle as well! And now I’m considering a third…
This is so easy to work with, comfortable, and the magnetic base is SUPER useful to keep me from knocking over the miniatures mid-paint!
Joshua H. (verified owner) –
As with the wet palette, cannot paint without this bad boy. Use it whenever I’m painting miniatures; it’s made it super easy to control my hands and definitely helps to ease a lot of the strain. VERY ergonomical!
Olafur E. (verified owner) –
Minimal and ergonomic. The magnet at the bottom and the swappable caps make this little painting handle perfect
Benoît D. (verified owner) –
Second handle I bought. Still as comfortable. Allows you to share it with your family.
(Deuxième poignée que j’achète. Toujours aussi confortable. Permet de partager en famille.)
Anson L. (verified owner) –
I’ve tried other handles and Red Grass is the best. It’s ergonomic. It’s magnetic. All these features are useful. Sure, you can simply use a simple prescription bottle or the top of a milk bottle, but it does not have longevity. The swappable caps are very convenient.
Philipp A. (verified owner) –
I’ll keep it short and sweet.
You want more control painting and less cramps? Go get this handle! And if you are army painting think about adding additional caps from the get go 😉
Luisa C. –
The ergonomic shape allowed me to paint for much more time than any previous products I bought. No unnecessary rearranging of the mini to get to the tough to reach spots, no more cramps.
Flo –
Comes with everything you need to get started. I have yet to see how long the putty will last.
Derek T. –
I have 2 of these handles and they have been absolutely wonderful as a painting tool. I thoroughly enjoy the feel of the caps and their ability to swap easily. If you grab this handle though, I highly recommend at least a few more swappable caps. Also, the trick of adding one of the metal docking plates to an XL cap for magnetized minis is very effective.
David R –
Feels comfortable in the hand, and I really appreciate the magnet in the bottom and disk they give you. Gives me a lot more confidence setting down the handle with the mini still attached.
Matthew Livingston Geritz –
Admittedly, I haven’t tried any other products that serve this purpose, but for my hands (18cm from pinky to thumb and middle finger to palm when splayed out) this painting handle is a very comfortable fit, and I can’t imagine going back to painting without it.
The ability to turn the model with my thumb, and keep a whole unit of models on the additional caps (also recommend) are great touches, but overall the best part is ergonomic design of the handle.
