How to prepare and clean your RGG Mounting Putty

Preparing your putty for use (orange or grey type)
- Cut the piece of putty in half and work it with your fingers until soft and tacky.
- Press this lump of putty onto the cap.
- Place cap onto the Holder and turn it upside down.
- On clean surface, apply gentle downward pressure whilst rotating the Holder in circular motion.
- Do this a few times until the putty spreads out to fill the cap and you have a gently sloping even dome shape of putty.
- This is the optimum form for adhering your miniature to and will ensure that it is held in a level position with maximum grip.
Cleaning your putty
To restore the putty to a usable condition, follow these steps. Note that the putty is a consumable product and may eventually need replacement. Avoid using any solvents or soap for cleaning.
Restoration Steps:
- Combine the Putty: Peel the putty from any Caps and combine it into a single piece. This makes it easier to handle and saves time.
- Work the Putty: Roll and fold the putty in your hands for approximately one to three minutes until it achieves a uniform color and becomes tacky again.
- Prepare for Use: If necessary, cut or pull the putty into equal-sized pieces, then proceed to follow the “Preparing for use steps.”
