I bought this mat mainly because of the colour. I already had a standard green A4 cutting mat, but I wanted something less visually distracting for painting my miniatures—and this one is perfect!
The neutral tone is really pleasant to work on, especially for painting and colour mixing. I like it so much that I might not even use it for cutting, even though it’s made for that too. The added base size checker is super useful, and I also love that the colour wheel comes as a sticker—you can choose whether to apply it or not, which is a nice touch.

Probably the best mat I have in my arsenal! I have tons of different ones and nearly all of them will warp due to age. This has held up for two years without warping! The color wheel and references are incredibly handy to have around as well. If Redgrass ever create a bigger one… I’ll be the first in line to get another one!

I have purchased one to use as protection for my table, and I have to admit that it does this job very well, the surface is nice and looks really well (and its easy to clean), I have not tried to cut on top but its robust enough to resist it. The downside (for me)… A2 version is always out of stock and the painting wheel would be nice to have printed on the surface itself, instead as sticker.
