I find that having the two bars providing light from two directions eliminates the shadows on the miniature when I'm painting, making it much easier to see what is going on and making painting that much easier.

It’s amazing how much I’ve been missing with my previous light set up. It [Redgrass R9] has way better maneuverability as I can have it in one spot on my desk and bend it to light my paint, airbrush, or photography area no problem. It takes less desk space. The light itself is way bigger for wide diffuse lighting or can be focused very well with the two beams. Overall great practical versatility on top of the great light quality.
