How to keep your paint wet on a dry palette; the best solution revealed!

Which paints work best with a dry palette? #

Paint, especially acrylic, can dry out quickly. If you’re attempting to keep your paint wet on a dry palette or a Redgrass Glass Palette for a prolonged period, you may want to consider using a wet palette instead.

We typically recommend a dry palette for oil paints and for dry brush techniques that involve acrylics.

How to keep your paint wet on a dry palette? Use a case! #

Oil paints do not dry as quickly as acrylics and will remain workable for approximately a day when left on your Glass Palette. However, while oil paints are highly versatile for blending and washing, they are considerably more expensive than acrylic paints. Storing your Glass Palette and the oil paint in-use inside a Redgrass Wet Palette case will extend the lifespan of this pricier medium by several days at least. This will ultimately save you money as you’ll waste less paint. This method serves as an effective way to keep your paint wet on a dry palette.
